Owner groups: Woolworths NZ = Woolworths, plus FreshChoice and SuperValue (locally owned franchises supplied by Woolworths). Foodstuffs = New World, PAK'nSAVE, Four Square (owner-operated co-operative members). Some SuperValue stores have since rebranded to FreshChoice.
Concentration (HHI) is by number of stores, not sales. 10,000 = one owner; 5,000 = two equal owners.
Drive-times: our own free-flow estimates on the OpenStreetMap road network, calibrated to openrouteservice; no congestion. Measured from a central point of the nearest Stats NZ neighbourhood (SA1, roughly 100-200 people), not from your door. In rural areas that point can be several km from your address and the times are rougher.
